Facebook or Twitter?

Social media seems to be taking over our lives and changing how we do things.
We live in a very precarious time where everyone who is looking for information, have a number of different ways to get it.
Look at phone numbers for instance. Remember when you wanted to call someone for the first time and you reached for the big phone book and looked up their names and found that there were 10 different John Millers living in Orillia and you called each one until you found the one you wanted to talk to? Nowadays we simply type the name into a website (411.ca is a good one) and if that doesn’t work, we could always search the person on Facebook or Twitter and ask them for their number.
Not only is there a plethora of ways to get the information, we want it now, not two minutes ago, NOW!
That is what kind of started at little debate at the radio station this week with which is a better, more efficient way of getting out information, Facebook or Twitter? Both are similar in the way that you can put out information for the world to see, but which one really connects people together?
I think that although Twitter is starting to grow in population, Facebook is still the better of the two. You can see more information about your friends including places they’ve been, pictures, their friends, and what they are doing this weekend. Twitter just doesn’t give you that in depth connection.
Let me know what you think!
